About Ivy Leighton

Ivy Leighton is a clothing shop for the United Kingdom. We sell womenswear and menswear, and we deliver nowhere else. Keeping to one country means we can make one delivery promise and keep it, rather than hedge on twelve.

What we stock

Most of what we carry belongs in the middle of a wardrobe rather than at the edges. Knitwear you put on over a shirt in October. A dress that works for an office and for dinner afterwards without a change of shoes. Trousers you can sit in for eight hours. We are not trying to sell you the one dramatic piece you wear once and photograph; we would rather sell you the jumper you reach for twice a week and replace in two years because it wore out honestly.

The British climate does most of our editing for us. It rarely commits to a season, so neither do we. Layers, mid-weights and things that cope with a warm afternoon and a cold walk home get more shelf space here than they would in a shop built for a Mediterranean summer.

How we choose things

Two questions decide it. Would we wear this on an ordinary Wednesday, and will it still look like itself after a dozen washes? Anything that only answers the first question is a costume. We would rather carry fewer styles and know them properly than list everything and know nothing.

Sizing is UK throughout. Every product page carries the measurements we have for that item, because “medium” means very little on its own and a returned parcel is a bad day for everybody.

Delivery and returns

Shipping is free on every order within the United Kingdom, with no minimum spend. Orders placed before 5:00 PM (GMT) go into processing the same working day, and most parcels arrive within 6 to 10 business days of purchase. VAT is included in the price you see on the product page, so nothing is added at checkout and nothing is owed on delivery.

If something does not fit or is not what you expected, you have 30 days from delivery to ask for a return. If an item arrives damaged or we sent you the wrong thing, we pay the return postage. The full detail is in our shipping policy and our return and refund policy, and both are written to be read rather than skimmed past.

A real person answers the email. We are at the desk Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM (GMT), and we aim to reply within 24 hours on working days. If your question is about an order, include the order number and you will save yourself a round trip.
